Little-known PMP / CAPM test tip – if English is NOT your first language…

A little-known feature PMI provides is called “Language Aids,” which let you translate any test question from English to your language.

This can give you a great advantage if you encounter an unknown vocabulary word, or for “nuance questions” (such as Ethics) where a shade of meaning can be the  difference between the right and wrong answer.

The 12 languages PMI currently supports:

  1. Arabic
  2. Brazilian Portuguese
  3. Chinese (Simplified)
  4. Chinese (Traditional)
  5. French
  6. German
  7. Hebrew
  8. Italian
  9. Japanese
  10. Korean
  11. Russian
  12. Spanish

Why did this feature catch my eye?

1) None of the hundreds of PMP students I’ve taught were ever aware of this feature prior to coming to my class, so I thought it would be worth sharing.

2) My parents both came over to the US from Europe at first not speaking any English, so I know from their experience how tough it is to be in a foreign country and not a native speaker of the language.

RESTRICTIONS:

1) The option works only on a one-question-at-a-time basis.

2)  You must request this feature in advance (before coming in to take the test)
