A Little Background Info
Jeff Furman has a strong dual background as an Instructor and an IT Project Manager, with more than 20 years for Fortune 500 companies and Governmental Agencies.
He has certifications for both disciplines as follows:
1) He is PMP-certified (Project Management Professional, from PMI) toward the PMP Prep / Project Management Class he teaches, training project managers for the PMP, CAPM and Project+ certifications, and
2) He is CTT+ certified (Certified Technical Trainer, from Comptia) toward the Presentation Skills / Train-the-Trainer class he teaches, training Instructors for the CTT+ as well as the MCT (Microsoft Certified Trainer) and ACI (Adobe Certified Instructor) certifications.
He has helped a great many Project Managers broaden their skills and become PMI-certified PMPs and CAPMs. And he has also helped many instructors sharpen their presentation skills and become certified as CTT+ (Certified Technical Trainers), MCT (Microsoft Certified Trainers), and ACI (Adobe Certified Instructors).

Jeff Furman has worked as a Technical Trainer and Course Developer for Fortune 500 companies including New York Life Insurance Company and Prudential Securities, where he managed the I.T. Change Management System for the NYC-based brokerage for 10 years, supporting 1,000 application developers in New York. And for many years he was an I.T. Manager for Prudential Financial / Prudential Insurance Company, managing an Application Development Infrastructure Support Team for 6 years., supporting 3,000 developers world-wide. Early in his career he worked for New York University and the MTA (Metropolitan Transportation Authority).

He has also shared his knowledge and experience by:
- Giving a presentation for the PMI New York Metro Chapter in Manhattan (topic: “Y2K Lessons Learned”), and
- Publishing articles he wrote on Project Management, Risk Management and other I.T. topics for magazines including COMPUTERWORLD, Software Magazine, Technical Support Magazine and the NaSPA.com online magazine.
